Route trial, Yeovil to Guildford 104 miles

I've tried the A303 route, from Andover to Guildford and my handlebars have my hand grips permanently embedded in them as a result (the grip of fear), I hope this route will be less terrifying.
I check the weather forecast daily for my ride days and looks like I am in for a dry day with the wind behind me. :-)
So far other than the necessary traffic stops, I have done all my rides without a break, this time I plan to take two or three five minute breaks. It is odd, but it's hard to stop, its a bit like a dodgy old banger I used to drive, when I stopped in traffic or stalled it ... would it start again?, (not that I'm dodgy old banger).

I've been using Maxim Energy Gel for giving me a boost when I start feeling fatigued on a ride, it really does produce turbo boost, my thanks to Adrian of Simply Sports in Oxted www.simplysports.co.uk for donating enough Maxim Gel to see me through my training and ride.
I have rigged up a Tacx double bottle holder to the seat of my bike so I can now carry up to four litres (two on the frame and two behind the seat) which in this weather should be enough to get me through up to an eight hour ride.
I have been asked for more details on the duck, I can't say too much for fear of upsetting the duck community, but as "Donald" (real name hidden to protect the indignity of the duck in question), eyeballed me over his shoulder as he flapped ever more furiously in an effort to get away from a large sweaty red tomato bearing down on him. Had he not found his acceleration when he did I could have brought new meaning to the popular hair style of the sixties.

A close encounter with a duck!

Another 106 miles today, repeated the route from last Thursday. This is the first day since last October that I have cycled in shorts no leggings and a light weight wind stopper. It was an eventful start, had a run in with a cousin of this guy in the photo (cheeky looking beggar just like this one). We both survived and agreed, neither of us want to get so intimately close again.
After 80 miles started to feel the fatigue, however I got around faster than than last Thursday and I don't feel as drained afterwards. Last week a couple of hours after getting back Sue told me I looked like I just got up after a heavy nights drinking. Just over nine weeks and at least 1300 road miles to go, ducks or no ducks.
