Sunday 7th

Very early start, was on the road before six, with a 100 mile target in my sights. I decided on the spur of the moment to go straight down the A25 towards Guildford for 25 miles. Turned around just before Guildford and headed back. As I replenished my bottles at home, it was very quite the house was asleep, so off I went to to do it all again.
I past a pub just before Dorking, there was a hog slowly turning on a spit outside, my mind wandered, I regained my focus a few minutes later. Was it getting warmer, or had I been dribbling thinking of the roast hog and a cold pint?
Arrived back home before midday, after a mad flurry of activity, We
set off to the Old A's for the Samson Trophy rugby match.

It was a close run match of four quarters, with with The McGees winning 35-29, post match team photo above. You can see why they lost, they look far too clean and have not even broken sweat! The other reason could be that star full back Kevin (two right feet) Mahoney could not find his third boot. (click on photo to enlarge and see).
The McGee's were given a helping hand from two young upstarts a Jason Leonard and a foreign chap with funny name, Zin Zan Brooke. These two took to the game well, and showed some talent, I am sure that if they attended training they could find themselves regularly selected for Old Actonians 1st XV next season.

On the left is the nimble Jason showing great ball skills and why he will be challenging for the number 10 shirt at Old Actonians next season, Ben be ware!

Posing with the cup whilst no one is looking!
It was great day for the club the charity and drinking. Thanks to all those who entered the sweepstake to guess my finishing time for the 240 miles and all the generous sponsorship and support I received.

Keep clicking!! it's going well.
